The Lazy Daisy Bookshop is an independent new and used bookstore in Jacksonville, operating out of a storefront at 420 Chaney Ave since late 2025 after outgrowing its original location. The shop traces its roots to February 2023, when owner Kristen Rochelle launched it as a mobile bookstore from a 1971 Sprite Caravan camper, running weekend pop-ups at coffee shops and festivals around Onslow County before opening a permanent space in August 2024.

The shop stocks a wide range of genres including romance, fantasy, thrillers, mystery, young adult, nonfiction, and literary fiction — both new and pre-loved titles. It also carries gifts and artwork from local and small businesses. The expanded Chaney Ave location includes a Sip Shoppe concept serving dirty sodas, coffee, and other non-alcoholic beverages, with comfortable seating for reading or gathering. Events like puzzle nights and author programming are part of the shop's community-focused identity. With 19,000+ Facebook followers and an active local presence, The Lazy Daisy Bookshop has become a notable independent bookstore destination in Onslow County.
